“The automotive industry is at a turning point — not just in how we move, but in who leads the way. Joining the Automotive 30% Club is about more than pledging support; it’s about actively shaping a future where talent rises without barriers, and leadership reflects the diversity of our world.
At Jaguar Land Rover, we’re not just building vehicles — we’re building a culture where everyone belongs and every voice matters.”
Patrick ‘Paddy’ McGillycuddy has joined the Automotive 30% Club as a Patron Member, reinforcing JLR’s commitment to accelerating gender balance and fostering inclusive leadership across the automotive sector.
As UK Managing Director, Paddy leads JLR’s commercial operations in one of its most strategically important markets. His leadership is defined by a clear focus on transformation — not only in product and customer experience, but in culture. Under his stewardship, JLR continues to embed its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) strategy, which aims to create a truly inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
JLR’s DE&I approach is built on three pillars: diversity of thought, inclusive behaviours, and equity of opportunity. The company supports a range of employee-led networks, including the Gender Equality Network and Women in Engineering & Allies, which provide platforms for dialogue, mentorship, and advocacy. These networks are backed by senior leaders and Board-level champions, ensuring that inclusion is driven from the top.
Paddy’s patronage of the Automotive 30% Club aligns with JLR’s ambition to see more women in leadership roles, and to challenge outdated perceptions of the industry. The Club’s ‘30 by 30’ strategy — aiming for 30% of key leadership positions to be held by women by 2030 — complements JLR’s own goals to build a future-fit workforce that reflects the clients and communities it serves.
As JLR continues its Reimagine strategy, transforming into a modern luxury business, Patrick sees inclusion as a core enabler of innovation and performance. His support for the Automotive 30% Club is both a personal commitment and a strategic imperative — helping to shape a more equitable, dynamic, and representative future for automotive.
