Damien O’Sullivan, Managing Director, Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Ltd

Damien became Managing Director of Volkswagen Group UK Ltd in December 2024 and is responsible for the National Sales Company that distributes Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA and Škoda models through a network of over 600 retailers in the UK.

O’Sullivan’s early career began as a credit analyst with AIB Capital Markets in Dublin. He joined Volkswagen Group Ireland as a Finance Controller in 2009, before moving to roles in Sales and Aftersales.

He spent six years in the Group’s overseas and China regions as Vice President Dealer Development for Audi at the company’s FAW joint venture business in Changchun, China and as Audi Aftersales Director at the NSC in Taiwan. Following this and before joining the UK operation, he was Audi Brand Director in Ireland for three years.

Volkswagen Group UK Ltd is the largest automotive sales company in the UK, with registrations of over 472,000 vehicles in 2024, and a passenger car market share of over 22 per cent.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Wolfsburg-based Volkswagen Group, Volkswagen Group UK Ltd directly employs over 900 people in the UK, while a further 25,000 work indirectly for the group, employed by its associated businesses which include retail networks, logistics, customer services and financial services.
