Dr Karen Lange - Member of the Board for HR, Bentley
Dr. Karen Lange joined Bentley in September 2021 as Member of the Board for Human Resources. Before this, she held various management positions in the Volkswagen Group Human Resources department, including Head of Global Assignments from 2013, and she was appointed Head of Human Resources at the Volkswagen joint venture Northvolt Zwei GmbH & Co. KG in Salzgitter in 2020.
Prior to joining the Volkswagen Group in 2002, Karen taught at the University of Hanover and researched at the Institute of Industrial Relations at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. Karen is a Silver Member and active supporter of the Automotive 30% Club.
Raj Robinson - Commercial Strategy Manager, Bentley
Raj Robinson is the Commercial Strategy Manager in Sales & Marketing at Bentley. As part of her role she drives the application of future-oriented, strategic goals that deliver a transformation to achieve Bentley’s Corporate Strategy ambition, Beyond100. Raj drives progress against strategic goals with a passion while ensuring the business commitments are met. Raj joins the dots, breaks down silos and actively challenges the status quo. Most importantly she finds a common ground with project leads to unite and fuel them in Bentley’s shared mission. Raj is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and ‘Lean’ Practitioner / Lean Coach, and a 2024 Inspiring Automotive Women Award winner.
Penny Weatherup - People Director, VW Group UK
Penny Weatherup is Volkswagen Group UK’s People Director, a position she has held since 2016. A deep understanding and knowledge of the business and its people was the basis of Penny’s appointment to the board in May 2016. For Penny, people have to be at the heart of any change, and she has established a successful strategy that supports and enables the rapid operational and accompanying cultural transformation of Volkswagen Group UK. Creating an environment where everybody can be themselves, collaborate, make a difference and feel valued for their contribution is high on her agenda. She is a passionate advocate of identity and cognitive diversity, while her focus on communication, communication, and more communication has become a central tenet of the Volkswagen Group UK culture. Outside work, Penny is a family person at heart, and is happiest spending time with her husband, extended family & close friends. Penny was named as an Inspiring Automotive Women Award winner in 2023.
