I am delighted that Enterprise is supporting the Automotive 30% Club to reach its goal of having women in 30% of key leadership positions by 2030.

We believe that having a diverse workforce which reflects the communities we serve is not only an essential part of our role within those communities, but also a major contributor to the success of Enterprise over more than 65 years.

Enterprise is fully committed to ensuring that we recruit, retain and offer great career opportunities for women, because we recognise that a business which is good for women is good for everyone.

Having other people recognise your efforts is one way to measure progress. The Times Top 50 Employers for Women list is an annual recognition of those organisations who are putting their commitment to support women in their career path into practice. We are proud that Enterprise Rent-A-Car has featured in this prestigious list every year since it was launched in 2005.

Behind that achievement is an ongoing effort to create initiatives which not only promote diversity but deliver positive results for our people. Many of these initiatives come from and are organised by our employees. They are not just top-down campaigns, they draw on the ideas and real-life experiences of our people.

One such campaign is the Leadership Development and Mentorship course, particularly targeted at female area managers, its goal is to actively address gender imbalance at management level. The aim of the project is to make sure that women who take part in the course have the tools, resources
and connections to become senior executives within Enterprise, if they so wish. Ours promote from within culture means that we can recruit, train and mentor people throughout their career journey, offering them a variety of opportunities and career paths, all within the Enterprise family.

But it is not just within Enterprise that we strive to support women. The company and our people are very active in promoting to young people the message that the automotive industry offers great career opportunities for women.

One of the goals of our partnership with the Automotive 30% Club is to enthuse and inspire female students to consider a career in the automotive industry. We were delighted to participate in the Inspiring Automotive Women Day and reached out to our female leadership teams. We recruited volunteers from across the business who took part in two exciting projects. Throughout the year they took part in several virtual school visits and a Career Speed Networking event.

The automotive sector is very dynamic and exciting. It develops and employs cutting-edge technology and will be a vital part of the new world of mobility. To properly service that world, we need a diverse workforce and leadership, which brings different experiences and perspectives to every role.
