This year we are proud to be bringing to you our UK Automotive 30% Club Inspiring Automotive Women Awards, kindly sponsored by Jardine Motors Group, to help with the Pull Through and Hold On phases of the “30 by 30” strategy.
We aim to celebrate and raise the visibility of the women working in our 30% Club member companies, at all levels in all roles, and congratulate our 30 winners at a fabulous black tie dinner at the RAC Club in London on October 3rd. Nominations will be open on Monday June 24th, and more information will be available shortly.
But you don’t need to wait for then to recognise and reward your high potential female employees!
The Autocar Great British Women – Rising Stars Awards 2019 nominations are open now and close on April 17th. The shortlisted winners will be revealed at the ceremony featuring Aston Martin’s Laura Schwab as the VIP speaker – held in association with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) – in central London on Wednesday 19th June. The afternoon ceremony will run from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.
Jim Holder Editorial Director of Autocar states “ We set up the Great British Women initiative to recognise and celebrate the talents of successful women in the industry – at OEM, supplier and retail levels – and to highlight their success to inspire more women to follow in their footsteps, addressing the gender imbalance in the automotive industry. This year we are highlighting rising stars in the industry, be they young achievers or women climbing the career ladder and demonstrating huge potential to go further. It’s an exciting dynamic and we are looking forward to putting the spotlight on our top 100 and the industry as a whole.”
Julia Muir, Founder of the UK Automotive 30% Club and CEO Gaia Innovation Ltd said “ This is a great opportunity for automotive companies to highlight those women who are tipped for the top in the future. I welcome all such initiatives that encourage automotive women to rise up through the ranks and aim high, and the Autocar Great British Women Rising Stars Awards is a great example of the wider sector coming together to recognise these high performers. I do hope that we will see women from many of our UK Automotive 30% Club members in the top 100.”
