Meet Nicola Langley, Customer Experience Development Manager, Volvo Car UK and IAW Award Winner for 2019

Nicola joined Volvo Car UK in July 2017 and has seen her role change since then.

She has a varied job, which she really enjoys, that enables her to work across the functions within Volvo Car UK, with their retailer network and the Volvo Car Central teams in Sweden. The responsibilities within her remit include management of Volvo’s Customer Champion programme, leadership of Volvo’s Customer Relations team, Customer Experience Training and Customer Performance.

Nicola is part of the Volvo Diversity and Inclusion EMEA and UK project teams, and has supported the Automotive 30% Club in their outreach activites. She actively talks about her job via LinkedIn and other social media channels, and thinks it is important that people understand there are fantastic opportunities in the automotive industry, as this helps break down assumptions and barriers.

Nicola states she has been successful in her career due to having some exceptional managers and mentors who have supported and inspired her. She is now keen to do the same for others as she understands the value and impact this can have on an individual.

Upon asking Nicola who inspired her to progress, she comments: “It was actually my current manager, Kevin Meeks. When I first met him, his passion for the brand and industry was infectious, and continues to inspire me.”
